The EN 1092-1 Type 37 Flange (commonly referred to as a Pressed Collar with Long Neck or Welded Collar for Loose Flange) is a specialized piping component used in combination with an EN 1092-1 Type 02 Loose Plate Flange (or Type 04 / Type 05 loose systems).
Unlike heavy forged stub ends, a Type 37 collar is typically manufactured from pressed or spun sheet metal or thin-walled pipe spools, featuring a long cylindrical hub designed to be butt-welded to the pipeline. The loose backing flange slides over the pipe before the Type 37 collar is welded in place. The collar provides the actual gasket sealing face, while the outer loose flange provides the bolting pressure, delivering an efficient, lightweight, and economical joint solution.
Lightweight Pressed Construction: Formed via pressing or cold spinning, reducing material weight and overall component cost while maintaining adequate structural integrity for target pressure ratings.
